Paul Mellonby - Senior Compliance Manager

Paul joined the LSB in May 2020 as a Senior Compliance Manager. His responsibilities include delivery of the compliance oversight programme with specific focus on the Contingent Reimbursement Model Code (CRM Code), the Access to Banking Standards and Credit Card Market Study remedies.

Paul has over 25 years experience working in financial services, gained in both industry and professional services – covering a wide range of sectors including consumer credit lending, retail banking, building societies, collections & arrears management, regulated mortgage conduct of business and insurance. The first 9 years spent working in a number of first line operational roles and since 2004 has worked in various regulatory roles – covering Compliance Monitoring, Compliance, Conduct Risk, Customer Outcomes and Internal Audit.

Before joining the LSB, Paul worked for the Lowell Group as Senior Compliance Monitoring (CM) Manager, having accountability and responsibility for their UK CM function. Prior to this Paul worked for PwC as a Manager in the Leeds Risk Assurance FS team and has also held Compliance roles with other firms, including Close Motor Finance.

To support his experience Paul holds the International Compliance Association (ICA) UK Diploma in Compliance and is also a certified mental health first aider, this acquired through Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England.
