Bernard MacGregor - Compliance Manager
Bernard joined the LSB in March 2020 as a Compliance Manager. His responsibilities include ensuring that registered firms adhere to the Standards and Codes, through compliance monitoring and relationship management.
Prior to joining the LSB, Bernard worked for the Financial Conduct Authority as a Senior Associate in the Retail Lending Supervision Department. In this role he was the Project Manager for a number of pieces of Multi Firm Work projects looking at and supervising a number of different aspects of consumer credit. This included amongst other aspects, debt purchase companies, credit reference agencies and guarantor lenders. Prior to working for the FCA Bernard was a Senior Supervisor with the Bar Standards Board regulating barristers. In this role he was responsible for supervising barristers’ chambers and developing a new Continuing Professional Development regime across the profession.
