Past event: Inclusion in Business Banking & Credit: disability and other access needs

The LSB will be launching its new report on Inclusion in Business Banking & Credit on Monday 17 October 2022 from 2.30pm-3.30pm. In attendance will be speakers from the LSB, Dr Lisa Cameron MP, and Universal Inclusion’s Jacqueline Winstanley. The virtual event will be held on Zoom.

Background

There has never been a more crucial time to support entrepreneurs and small business owners. It is also vitally important to enable all customers, of any background, to access business banking services in order to make their business goals a reality.

With this in mind, the LSB engaged with disability group representatives and business owners to get a first-hand view of business banking for those with disabilities or other access needs. There was a widespread perception that in many sectors, both public and private and including financial services, more could be done to understand disability and adapt to those who require support. By listening to experts both by experience and profession, we hope to shine a light on a previously under reported area.

Our new report on Inclusion in Business Banking & Credit, with a foreword from Dr Lisa Cameron MP, provides considerations and best practice responses for business banking providers to support customers with disabilities or other access needs.
