THE BANKING CODE STANDARDS BOARD ARCHIVE

The Banking Code Standards Board (BCSB), was formed in 1999 to monitor and enforce the Banking and Business Banking Codes.

On the 1st of November 2009, responsibility for the conduct of business regulation for deposit and payment products was transferred to the Financial Services Authority.

In light of this the BCSB changed its name to the Lending Standards Board (LSB). The role of the LSB is to monitor and enforce compliance for the Lending Code that became effective on the same date.
