If you are using Internet Explorer as your Web Browser and

Increase the size of the text used on this website

  1. On the View menu,
  2. Point to Text Size,
  3. Then click the size you want

Change the colour layout of the website

  1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
  2. On the General tab, click Colours.
  3. Make sure there is no tick in the ‘use Windows colours’ option.
  4. Change the settings as needed.


Find other Accessibility Options while using Internet Explorer

  1. Click the Help option on the top left menu bar.
  2. Select the option ‘Contents and Index’. Click the left mouse button.
  3. Click the ‘Search’ Tab
  4. Type in a relevant word for Internet Explorer to look for in the ‘Key Word’ Field.
  5. Internet Explorer will now bring up a list of various ‘how to’ guides based on the keyword entered.
  6. Click on the most appropriate link and follow the instructions.


Apple MAC Users – If you are using Safari as your Web Browser and

Increase the size of the text used on this website

  1. Click the View Menu.
  2. Select Text Size. Click the Mouse.
    You will now see an icon that looks like ‘A A’ in your Safari menu bar. Click the smaller or larger ‘A’ to suit your needs.

Use ‘Universal Access in Safari’ to tailor your web experience to your needs -
Some of these features mean you can:

  • Switch the screen to black and white and other contrast enhancements.

  • Choose to make the screen flash when an alert sound occurs.

  • Zoom in on the screen image to make it appear larger.

  • Make the computer read aloud the text on the screen when you move the pointer over an item in the Finder, Dock, or application toolbar.

  • Make the mouse functions available through the keyboard.

  • Turn on Sticky Keys or Slow Keys to help you control the keyboard.

  • Turn on Mouse Keys to control the pointer using your numeric keypad.

  1. Open your Systems Preferences by double clicking the icon in your Dock
  2. Select the Universal Access icon
  3. This opens up various options under the headings ‘Seeing’ ‘Hearing’ ‘Keyboard’ and ‘Mouse’. Select the options you wish and make your settings.
  4. When done, close the Universal Access pane by clicking the red coloured round icon at the top of the pane.
